ایں مردم دنیا کہ گرفتار غم اند

دیوانہ بسے دیدم و ہشیار کم اند
از بہر دو روز عمر از شامت نفس
در حرص و ہوا اسیر و بد خواہم اند
یہ اہلِ جہاں سب ہیں گرفتارِ الم
دیوانے بہت ان میں ہیں، ہشیار ہیں کم
ہے عمر دو روزہ پہ غضب شامتِ نفس
پھر حرص و ہوس ستم ہے بالاے ستم
