जब भी याद आई है मुझे उस से मिलन की ख़ुश्बू

गुल-बदामाँ गुल सरापा गुल ही गुल है ख़ू-ए-दोस्त

मोहब्बत बिकती हो गर शहर में ऐसी दुकाँ ढूँढें

ज़रा आहिस्ता ले चल कारवान-ए-शे'र 'हाफ़िज़' को

मैं सदा से 'आशिक़-ए-ज़ार था कभी नूर का कभी नार का

निगाह-ए-हुस्न जब गोया हो तो तस्वीर बनती है

मैं ने तो खोल रक्खी है सारी किताब-ए-’उम्र

मुझ को अगर मिली न दुनिया की बादशाही

उस शहर-ए-बे-ख़ता में ख़ता-वार मैं ही हूँ

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
