दोस्ती निभ जाए उन से इब्तिदा ऐसी तो हो

ख़ुम सुबू साग़र सुराही जाम पैमाना मिरा

अब भी शैदा है ज़माने का ज़माना तेरा

क़यामत की कशिश है तेरी डोरेदार आँखों में

बिजलियाँ कौंदती हैं और है बरसात की रात

तोहमत-ए-बद-नज़री आँख चुराने का गिला

मुझ को ताख़ीर का शिक्वा नहीं हाँ और सुनो

साज़-ओ-सामाँ हैं मेरी ये बे सर-ओ-सामनियाँ

कूचा-ए-क़ातिल में मुझको घेर कर लाई है ये

दिल-ए-बे-ताब सँभल ख़ौफ़ है रुस्वाई का
