ma-o-mai-o-ma’shuq darin kunj-e-KHarab
mā-o-mai-o-mā’shūq darīñ kunj-e-ḳharāb
jān-o-dil-o-jām-o-jāma dar rehn-e-sharāb
fāriġh za umīd-e-rahmat-o-bīm-e-’azāb
āzād za ḳhāk-o-bād-o-az ātish-o-āb
I, with wine and beauty (exist) in this miserable world, having pledged my life, soul, my wine cup and (even) my clothes to wine; I look not for mercy and am free from the fear of the pains of Hell, of (burial in) the dust, of the wind and of Everlasting Fire.
