hañgām-e-safeda dam ḳhurūse saharī
daanī ki charā hamī kunad nauha-garī
yā’nī ki namūdand dar ā.īna-e-sub.h
kaz 'umr shabe guzasht-o-tū be-ḳhabarī
The day hast dawned and the cock's clarion hast sounded, dost thou know why there is music (in the air) it is for this that they have shown mirrored in the down, that of thy life one more night has passed and thou art oblivious.
