gar vālih-e-dasht-o-bāġh goī hastam
gar shefta-e-ayāġh goī hastam
gah tālib-e-dīñ-o-gāh duniyā talabam
sar gashta-e-surāġh goī hastam
True, if you call me a lover of garden and desert ;
True, if you call me 'a devotee of the cup' ;
If you say I seek this world and that world at times, you are right.
It’ s true, I am looking for both of them.
