andar rah-e-ishq jumla safan durdand
andar rah-e-'ishq jumla sāfāñ durdand
va-andar talabash jumla buzurgāñ ḳhurdand
imroz shab-o-roz za fardā īnast
fardā talabāñ dar ġham-e-fardā murdand
In the path of love, all those appearing to be pure are sediments, and in the quest of love all the greats are insignificant, the present night and day differ from the morrow and those who seek tomorrow die in the grief for tomorrow.
