aamad sahar aan dil-bar-e-KHunin jigran

tauhid ba-urf sufi-e-sahab-e-sair

raft aan ki ba-qibla-e-butan ru aaram

har surat-e-dilkash ki tu ra rue namud

ba yar ba-gulzar shudam rah-guzri

ai bulbul-e-jaan mast ze-yaad-e-tu mara

ya man bahwaka kunto bil-ruhe samhato

ya-rab dil-e-pak-o-jaan-e-agaham deh

yarab zad-o-kaun be-niyazam gardan

chize ki na rue dar baqa bashi az-u

aaj ik aur baras biit gayā us ke baġhair

jis ke hote hue hote the zamāne mere
