Manqabat
Naat is the form of poetry written in the glory of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Naat is recited after Hamd. After the humd and naat, Qawwali singers often sing Manqabat which is a poem written in the glory of a Sufi elder.
1790 -1854
Poet laureate of the Mughal Court and mentor of Bahadur Shah Zafar. His 'poetic' rivalry with Ghalib is well known.
